Beckwourth Peak Fire Protection District, (BPFPD or FPD) will provide service to Eastern Plumas County to areas currently served by the City of Portola, Beckwourth FPD, Gold Mountain Community Services District (CSD) and Sierra Valley FPD. The FPD will also serve areas that are currently outside of any local jurisdictional boundary assigned to provide services.
Beckwourth Peak FPD will respond to fires, medical distress calls, vehicle accidents, hazardous material spills and the many other calls received.
The FPD will be managed by an elected five-member Board of Directors who are registered voters within the service area of BPFPD.
The new FPD will establish a consistent, long-term community-based and locally controlled revenue source to support the sustainable delivery of provided services.
*The new FPD does not include areas currently served by Eastern Plumas Rural FPD.
Beckwourth Peak Fire Protection District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
